One thing that keeps coming up for Jamie and Heidi on this outreach is praying for blind or legally blind people. Both of them felt like God was going to use them in making the blind healed. They were in Visalia one afternoon in front of a grocery store offering prayer to people walking past. They noticed a partially blind man who walked by and felt led to pray for him. So they followed the man to his van and prayed for him. He mentioned that he was having hip problems, asthma issues, and glaucoma problems. He accepted prayer and even though there was no sign of immediate healing, Jamie and Heidi both felt that God was going to gradually work in this gentleman’s life and eyes.
Another afternoon, in Walmart, the Jamie prayed for 4 people in the pharmacy line. A blind gentlemen walks by with his caregiver and Jamie once again felt lead to pray. She introduced herself to the caregiver and the gentleman, who both happened to be Christians. Jamie began talking with them and they both eagerly accepted prayer. The gentleman’s hips were hurting and asked prayer that it would get better. After Jamie prayed for his hip, he felt a tingling and believed that his hip was healed. She continued on and prayed for his eye, which he also believed that a healing was going to take place in God’s time. The three of them talked and shared about God in their lives. They all left very encouraged and amazed.
At a different time Jamie and Heidi met this man named Emee who was around 45 years old. He was blind in one eye and said “I’m kind of a Christian, but not doing to well right not.” He was was happy and thankful for the prayer the ladies offered and was encouraged to seek God again in boldness.
It seems that Jamie and Heidi both keep coming across people with back and hip issues, as well and problems with vision. Please pray that the Lord will bless them and give them special words for each encounter that they make.
