Summer Staff Preview For High Schoolers
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Summer Staff Preview weeks are intended to give high school students an opportunity to serve alongside our young-adult Summer Staff leaders and get a taste of the discipleship, service, and community which is unique to Gleanings For The Hungry’s mission. We hope that preview students will enjoy serving with all their heart and consider returning in following years for a full Summer Staff commitment.
SUMMER 2026 PREVIEW DATES
- Preview Opportunity #1: June 14 – July 4 (2-3 consecutive weeks)
- Preview Opportunity #2: July 26 – August 15 (2-3 consecutive weeks)
3 STEPS FOR REGISTRATION
- Step 1: Student/Applicant fills out the Summer Staff Preview Application
- Step 2: Parent/Guardian fills out the Parent Reference
- Step 3: Close friend, leader, pastor, or supervisor fills out the Parent Reference
WHO SHOULD APPLY FOR SUMMER STAFF PREVIEW?
- Mature & Respectful: High school age students who regularly demonstrate Christian character and high levels of maturity, respect, self-control, work ethic, awareness of their personal example. To be very frank, students who struggle in these areas should not apply.
- Hunger for the Lord: This program is for mature Christian believers who have a evident hunger to grow in their daily walk with Jesus.
- Desire to Serve: This program is extremely work intensive and requires a strong work ethic.
- Commitment: Each team member must be fully committed to the summer staff program (see packet) and ready to participate whole-heartedly.
- Sharpening: All summer staff must welcome leadership, encouragement, accountability, correction, honest feedback, and rebuke regarding all areas of life.
- Age: Must be between 16-18 years old at the time of serving on the team.
- Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 consecutive weeks. Max of 3 consecutive weeks. (See available preview weeks above)
- Cost: $50 / week
