Financial Accountability

At Gleanings For The Hungry, we pledge to maintain effective outreaches by being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.  We have a responsibility to maintain integrity and openness in our financial practices. Therefore, we are committed to fulfilling the following standards:

• We are governed by a responsible Board of Directors. Our Board establishes policies, oversees general operations and financial responsibilities, and reviews organizational accomplishments.
• We obtain an annual financial review, along with an audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards every third year by an independent public accountant; Pine, Pedroncelli & Aguilar, Inc in Visalia, CA.
• Contributions to Gleanings For The Hungry are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Contributions are solicited with the understanding that Gleanings For The Hungry has complete control over the use of all donated funds. Our policy is for all gifts designated for a specific project be applied to the stated project. Occasionally, we receive more contributions for a given project than can be wisely applied to that project. When that happens, we use these funds to meet a similar pressing need. It is our policy to meet the needs that lay before us so that our stated mission is advanced.
