Several times this year both before and during the first half of Summer, we posted an appeal for more summer teams to come and help. The Lord heard our prayer – and you answered! Thank you so much to all the churches, ministries and families that have taken time out of their Summer to come and serve with us. We have been able to process peaches (a LOT of peaches) – and complete some property improvement projects – AND make some soup!
We are grateful this year we have seen an abundance of fruit! Week after week local growers have called saying “We have some fruit for you!”
The staff at Gleanings is mourning the tragic death of Randy Erickson on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Randy leaves behind his wife Eliane and their two daughters. We will keep you informed through this website as we collectively work our way through the grief. We appreciate your prayers at this time for his family and the staff at Gleanings.

The Summer – A lot of preparation goes into making the summer fruit season a success. The fruit season relies on a steady supply of donated fruit; we pray the Lord will bring a bountiful harvest not just for us but to bless the growers in the valley. We are also in need of more Summer Staff to help see our summer season through.
The Soup Plant – We are extremely grateful to see the fumigation tunnels almost complete! And in addition to drying fruit, we plan on working in the soup plant during the summer. We are in need of a continuous flow of soup product in order to accomplish this.
Development – It has been a goal for many years to install a solar system on the property to cut down energy costs and expand our operations. Will you join us in prayer to see God’s movement in this endeavor?
Staff – Several of our young staff members are transitioning out of their positions at Gleanings; as a result, several staff positions are need of being filled. Will you pray that God will bring the right people along to join our staff family?
Please pray for the following items as God would lead you.
Haiti Outreach – There is a team of 23 people who will be in Haiti from January 16-25. They will be assisting in expansion of a seniors’ home, setting up another solar system, ministry, and feeding the community.
Soup Product – We can always use product for our soup mix.
Water System – Resolution regarding our on-going water issues.
